Ege Machinery Canada Inc. is seeking a Sales Engineer/Technician

Ege Machinery Canada (www.egemachinery.com) embarked upon its journey in February 2024 in Toronto, seeking to expand its team.

We are the proud distributors of Protem and Serco Tools in Canada. Protem and Serco of France are the market leaders in the design and manufacturing of a wide range of portable facing, beveling, cutting, severing, counterboring, machining, and boring equipment for welding preparation of tubes, pipe, resurfacing of valves and flanges (www.protemusa.com). Protem’s flexibility, responsiveness, and capability to adapt to customers’ requirements position the company ahead of its competitors.

Job description:

The Sales Technician / Engineer position will promote Protem / Serco products based on a solid understanding of customer needs and requirements.

He/She will be expected:

  • to develop, support, and expand relationships with new and existing customers and sub-distributors and resellers of Ege Machinery throughout Canada.
  • to develop new business based on the leads, via cold-calls to potential customers or participation in industry trade shows.
  • to address/resolve technical/commercial queries by the customers, make live demos at customer locations, set up and commission the machinery sold, and provide training and after-sale support.

Qualifications:

Applicants should have:

  • a degree in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant discipline from a university or a technical institution.
  • a minimum of three years of experience in sales of similar engineered products.
  • excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • good computer skills in MS Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
  • a valid “G”-Class driver’s license and dependable transportation for regular travel for customer visits.
  • be in a physical condition to lift and carry tools, climb ladders/stairs in customer sites, and possess excellent health, in general
  • note that the position demands a travel-intensive work regime (~70% of your time) and therefore should not have any travel restrictions. Having a valid passport with no restriction to travel to the USA will be considered a plus.

Compensation:
Competitive base salary + premiums indexed to sales targets achieved.
